EXPERIENCE

2015 November - now working as freelance fashion designer and pattern developer

 

Creating custom designs and developing collection for selling. At the same time working for other designers as consultant and pattern developer according to their aesthetical and technical requirements, while minding effective usability, minimal material waste and factory work steps.

2017 September - became a finalist of FashionClash Sustainability Contest 'Fashion Makes Sense' Award.

 

Is currently working on sustainable outfit which will be presented in  Maastricht Netherlands from October 4th till 14th. This outfit is funded by 350 euros by FashionClash. On 12th October one of the 10th finalists will become a winner of 2500 euros prize for producing a sustainable fashion collection. 

 

2016 May 4  - became a finalist of prestigious International Talent Support Contest 2016 in two categories of ITS Fashion and ITS Artwork.

 

For Fashion category same year July presented collection in Italy Trieste. For Artwork category was funded by Swatch company and produced artwork installation that was exhibited first in Trieste Italy and later in Swatch museum in Switzerland

 

2015 July succesfully finisheshed ESMOD Berlin University and won two awards:'Best Pattern Making/Draping 2015' and 'Prix du Jury 2015', Berlin, Germany

 

Between more than 60 students graduate collection '1CE UPON' won even two awards that were decided by detailed examination during presentation on models, during showrooms and runway. Jury was conprised of highly respected and well known people from international scale:

2014 July - September internship at Anne Sofie  Madsen, Copenhagen, Denmark

 

This intensive inernship was taking place 3 months while developing and realizing  SS15 collection. During was developing samples and finishing final garments for the show; developing finishing techniques suitable for materials and theme; was working on sketches, prints and fonts on Photoshop and Illustrator, doing other digital design work; successfully draping garment suggestions and developing detail suggestions according to collection theme; working with different techniques and preparing patterns and garments for production as well as patterns for production in fur factory.

 

 

2014 March won Mercedes - Benz Charterway  design contest

 

Formal womenswear trousers design and realization was picked by Mercedes-Benz to mass produce for their workers. Trousers met requirements for functionality, production price range, fit and confortability. 

 

 

2014 January 18th volunteering at Berlin Fashion Week Benu Berlin event  

 

During this event was helping with photoshoot and introducing guests to brand identity.

 

 

2014 October won dress design contest for  HungerGames: Catching Fire European movie premiere in Berlin

 

Dress design concept met clients (Hunger Games movie representatives in Germany) expectations. With given money dress was realized by Birute Mazeikaite within 2 weeks of concentrated work which involved lots of hand work. In collaboration with makeup artist full concept was realized and presented on  red carpet European Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie premiere in Berlin.

 

2013 July internship at Ame Soeur, Berlin, Germany            

 

Intensive internship while working with the designers (Sabina and Madina Taschen) included sewing complex skirt and jacket, fixing mistakes of production facility garments, customizing garments for specific clients, draping ideas according to label identity, pattern making and scaling, Photoshop work with prints, taking care of garments and preparing them for ateliers, introducing Ame Soeur label to other people during events.
